Catholics uses Matthew 16:18 to prove that Jesus said "upon this rock I will build my church" while he is speaking to Peter, assuming that Peter is the rock that the church is built upon. However when Jesus said "upon this rock I will build my church" He was talking about Himself!

Peter believes that Jesus is the rock which the church is built upon
